B anyak cara untuk mengetahui status koneksi internet, diantaranya melalui icon pada systray. Dan biasanya akan disertai dengan lampu yang berkedip genit.
Tapi kita akan mencoba sebuah program kecil untuk memantau koneksi internet melalui lampu led “numlock dan ScrollLock”.
Sebelumnya donload dulu filenya jika sudah berhasil didwonload, extract file dalam format *.zip tersebut ditempat yang disukai, akan ada tiga file hasil extrak yaitu licence.txt, readme.txt dan networklights.exe.
Untuk menjalankan aplikasi tersebut, klik dua kali file networklights.exe dan aplikasi akan berjalan pada systray ( lihat gambar diatas ). Untuk mengujinya silahkan berselancar dengan peramban yang dimiliki. Perhatikan pada Keyboard, lampu Numlock dan ScrollLock akan berkedip (nggak genit) untuk melihat status download dan upload.
Dan jangan khawatir, fungsi tombol Numlock dan ScrollLock tetap berfungsi sebagaimana fungsi asalnya. Kita tetap dapat menggunakan fungsi Numlock dan ScrollLock pada pada saat bekerja.

Network Lights is a Windows program, which blinks keyboard LEDs (Light Emitting Diode) indicating outgoing and incoming network packets on network interface.
Network Lights lets you monitor network activity (upload/download) from your keyboard ScrollLock and NumLock indicators. Each LED will flicker when network traffic is detected.
Using
This utility is a standalone executable. Run the program, you'll see a new system tray icon.
Now you can monitor your network traffic using the ScrollLock and NumLock leds on your keyboard.
Use the system tray icon (click the mouse) to customize program settings.

This utility is released as freeware. You are allowed to freely distribute this utility via floppy disk, CD-ROM, Internet, or in any other way, as long as you don't charge anything for this. If you distribute this utility, you must include all files in the distribution package, without any modification!
